Registration for 2010 can be completed online, by mail, or by turning in the necessary paperwork and payment at the Skamania County Parks and Recreation office in Stevenson. The following documents are needed to complete registration: 1) Registration Form http://www.bogll.com/images/10_reg_form.pdf, 2) Medical Release Form http://www.bogll.com/images/medicalrelease.pdf
Online registration is simple and fast and reduces paperwork. It can be completed at the link provided. Those who prefer to pay by check or money order can still register online. Payment can be sent to BOGLL at PO Box 143, Stevenson, Wa 98648 or dropped off at the Parks and Recreation office along with the Medical Release Form.
Registration fees (see table below) can be paid online with a credit card via Paypal using the link on the registration page. You are NOT required to have a Paypal account to pay with this method. Paypal is fast, easy and secure and will transfer your payment directly to BOGLL. Families who are registering more than one child will need to fill out the registration form and make separate payments for each child. When the family maximum of $135 applies, please begin by registering and paying for the child in the highest division first, making full payment, followed by the child in the next lowest division (full payment), then down the line. When the $135 maximum is approached, pay the difference between $135 and the sum of previously completed payments for the family. Just skip payment for any additional children in excess of $135 and we will make sure to record that the family maximum was applied. The following example should help clarify: A family is registering three children: 1) Junior softball ($70), and 2) minors baseball ($60). First register and make payment ($70) for the Junior softball player. Then register and make full payment ($60) for the first minors baseball player. These first two payments total $130, leaving a balance of $5 for the third child to play minors baseball. Register this third child and make a payment of $5 and you’re finished. If there is a 4th or 5th child, just register them and skip payment. Please note that the fees in this example do not reflect the early registration discount that is in effect until January 23, 2010.
Individuals or families who register online will still have to print, fill out and sign the Medical Release Form and either: 1) mail it to the BOGLL at PO Box 143, Stevenson, Wa 98648, 2) turn in at the Parks and Recreation office in Stevenson, or 3) turn in to your child’s coach at the FIRST team meeting.
Any questions or problems with online registration can be addressed to our registrar, Charlie Cochran at (509)427-7927 or registrar@bogll.com.
BOGLL registration fee schedule (division fees are the same for boys and girls):
The policy of Little League International and BOGLL is to accommodate all children who would like to participate. We are aware that increasing costs make it difficult for some families to pay the registration fees. Although our policy is that everyone plays regardless of their ability to pay, the reality is that we cannot provide operate the league, provide safe conditions and quality equipment, or balance the books if people do not pay. Scholarships are available on a limited basis for families with financial difficulties. The cost to the league is partially offset by a fund that was established in memory of Pat Cochran who was a parent of several volunteers and grandparent of five current participants in BOGLL. The Memorial Fund relies on donations from individuals and businesses and can be contributed to by anyone during or after the registration process. We have received many generous contributions over the past two years and greatly appreciate any amount that can be donated. There are not enough scholarship funds available to cover the cost to the league for every family that finds it difficult to pay. Rising costs for equipment and uniforms, league charter and insurance fees, and maintenance of facilities present an ongoing challenge for BOGLL just like any other non profit, volunteer based organization that serves the public. BOGLL meets this challenge through the hard work of volunteers who donate their time and labor to complete tasks that save money (like weeding and mowing fields) and generate revenue that supports the league (like selling concessions). Families who cannot fit registration dues into their budgets will be asked to enter into an agreement with the league to donate their time and energy in lieu of money.
Parents of children who require scholarships should feel free to register, then contact the BOGLL registrar to begin the process of forming an agreement with the league. The BOGLL registrar, Charlie Cochran, can be reached at (509)427-7927 or through the email link on this website (registrar@bogll.com).
Any party who is interested in donating to the Pat Cochran Memorial Fund can do so from the online registration page, by mailing funds to the league, or by contacting a league board member.
